That's just the funniest pictures in many ways. Too bad there weren't more pics from that era. Those were good times. And to think that that boat still sits in my parent's garage, ready to be raced again someday.
I would bet that the skipper is not quite as trim these days as he appears in this picture. Man, put an NJ in front of that registration and that could have been me and my friend. Guessing Mid to late seventies?
Well, this blog started out as a chronicle of the restoration, and adventures aboard, the O'Day Mariner, Mothra. But since then, and thanks to Mothra rekindling my love of sailing, it's often taken over with other sailing content. So be it. I'm having so much fun with the new Megabyte, I gotta share that, too.

The boat reg. sticker says '82. I think Magic Johnson and Kareem were wearing fashionably short shorts back then, too.
